Cushion covers are sold by the side length of the square (or the two sides for rectangular ones), and most Indian sofas and beds use one size range - here's how to make sure you're buying the right fit.
| Size | Common use |
|---|---|
| 12x12 inches | Small accent cushions, kids' rooms |
| 16x16 inches | Sofa and bed cushions - the most common size in Indian homes |
| 18x18 inches | Larger sofas, statement cushions |
| 20x20 inches | Large sofas, floor cushions |
| 24x24 inches | Oversized floor/lounge cushions |
| 12x18 inches (lumbar) | Rectangular back/lumbar support cushions |
Measure your existing cushion insert edge to edge. A cover should be about the same size as the insert, or very slightly smaller (an inch or so) for a fuller, plumper look once stuffed.
All our cushion covers are 16x16 inches, sold as a set of 5 - the most widely used size for sofas and beds in Indian homes, so it fits most standard cushion inserts without needing a custom order.
Wash new covers separately in cold water for the first couple of washes to check for any colour bleed, and avoid high heat when drying to keep the fabric and print looking fresh for longer.
