About Satin Curtains

Satin is the light, shiny choice among curtain fabrics. Its smooth weave reflects light, so a satin curtain glows softly in daylight and looks rich in the evening – a good fit for living rooms and bedrooms where you want a dressy look without heavy fabric.

Satin vs velvet: satin is thinner and lighter, filters light rather than blocking it and drapes in neat ripples; velvet is thick, blocks more light and keeps a room warmer in winter. For a bright room that should still feel private, satin is usually the better pick.

Our satin curtains are eyelet panels in 7 x 4 ft (windows) and 9 x 4 ft (doors and tall windows), printed with blossom branches, leaves, crackle mosaics and leaf-drop motifs, plus two-tone panels with an embroidered net band. Dry cleaning keeps the sheen best; if hand-washing, use cold water and don't wring.
