About Single Bed Size

A single bed mattress cover protects a single-bed mattress from spills, sweat and dust. There are two kinds here, and they suit different needs.

Waterproof PVC covers (Samrat Comfort) are the choice for children's beds, elderly care, patients or anyone who wants a complete barrier against liquids. They never need washing – just wipe them with a damp cloth – but PVC doesn't breathe, so most people put a bedsheet over it.

Checkered cotton covers (Sadabahar, 36 x 72 inches, for mattresses up to 6 inches thick) are soft and breathable and go in the washing machine, but they are not waterproof. Measure your mattress before ordering; for a diwan or a double bed, see those sizes instead.
